Hi
I am receiving an error message when I connect to Reporting Services in SQL Server 2005, the error is:
Cannot connect to <SERVER>
Reporting Services Instance could not be found (Microsoft.Sqlserver.Management.UI.RSClient)
Can anyone help with this please?
Thanks
Can you check if RS is configured properly by going to Start->All programs->Microsoft SQL Server 2005->Configuration Tools->Reporting Services Configuration? Connect to the instance that you are having trouble with.
Also, are you seeing this when navigating to http://<servername>/reports?
Thanks,
Sharmila
Are you running Vista? I had the same problem SP2 for sql2005 fixed it.

|||Hi
No the server I was installing on was running W2K, I decided to uninstall SQL Server 2005, delete the virtual directories and Application pool from ISS and delete any remaining data files for SQL Server 2005, then I reinstalled it all again and installed SP1 and everything seems to be working fine now. I think the problem was due to somebody else previously installing it incorrectly...
Thanks for your help!
