Reporting Services PDF Size

Is there any way to shrink the file size of the PDF? When I resave the
file with Acrobat it is much smaller.
I can create the same report with crystal reports and have a much
smaller PDF..
Maybe it is a DPI setting or something?
2Meg 1 page PDFs are just not cutting it for me. There must be a way
to knock the file size down.
Thanks,

Update:
I have reduced the amount of colors in the images. I have also saved
them with a much lower DPI setting. This does not appear to effect the
PDF that is produced.
Is there a specific image format that Reporting Services thrives on? I
am using JPEGs.. I have tried BMPs also with no luck.
