I am having a problem with my SQL 2005 Report Server. I installed this
feature after the initial SQL 2005 install so I had to reapply sp2 but I can
go into the configuration manager and all looks good with no errors. When I
try and hit the \reports and \reportserver virtuals I get the following
error messages. What am I missing
-----
server/reports I get...
Server Application Unavailable

You can check a couple of things to possibly get a better error
description. You can check the Application Log via: right-click My
Computer >> select Manage >> select System Tools >> Event Viewer >>
Application. Also, you might try (if SSRS is at least communicating to
some degree) checking the Reporting Services logs normally located
here: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2 -or- MSSQL.
3\Reporting Services\LogFiles. You might want to check that the SSRS
service [SQL Server Reporting Services (MSSQLSERVER)] is running via:
right-click My Computer >> select Manage >> select Services and
Applications >> Services. Also, make sure that the ReportServer
virtual directory has been created. Hope this helps.
