Hi,
I'm trying to look at the samples supplied with reporting services.
Found a folder with a bunch of samples
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Reporting
Services\Samples\Reports
which has a SampleReports.sln
this opens fine in visual studio .net (help about says Microsoft
Development environment 2003, Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1)
but when I right-click on any of the sample reports, e.g., Product
Catalog.rdl
it pops an error message saying "exception from HRESULT 0x80131500"
any insights?"msdninfo" <msdninfo@.newsgroup.nospam> wrote in message

Well you can relax now, it came right of it's own accord. Now it just works.
OTOH it may come back later to bite since its cause is still unknown. :-)|||Hi,
Thanks for the information and it's great to know it works smoothly now.
A strange behavior seems to be memroy or pointer related. You are welcome
to post back with the detail description when it comes back again. Such as
Any related error in Event Log? How to reproduce it?
Have a nice week!
Sincerely yours,
