Can you find the RS Config tool by going to Start->Programs->Microsoft SQL Server 2005->Configuration Tools->Reporting Services Configuration? Also, can you get to Report Manager by going to http://<servername>/Reports? Not sure if this is what you are looking for.
Thanks,
Sharmila
Do you have IIS installed?
Thanks,
Sharmila
To check if RS was installed successfully, you can look at the following two locations.
%programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Summary.txt - Check if RS was installed successfully.
Also, if it was installed in the default location, %programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.x\Reporting Services.
Thanks,
Sharmila
Can you launch the RS Config tool from,
%programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Binn\RSConfigTool.exe ?
Thanks,
Sharmila
If it does not display the correct instance as a choice in the config tool, then I guess the instance did not install properly. Can you try to re-install and see if the problem goes away? Without the RS setup logs it's hard to tell what the problem is.
Thanks,
Sharmila
|||Should i just try reinstalling Report Services? I cannot reinstall the entire SQL 2005, because it host a database on the web. Will reinstalling report services affect anything else?
